It does a great job of accurately answering hundreds of questions related to Belle Air Mansion. We love talking with guests, but please try this prior to contacting the B&B. Click the orange Q/A Icon at the bottom right of this page or the text beside it. Where is Belle Air Mansion located?The Mansion is located 5 miles from downtown Nashville and 1.8 miles from I-40. The following are locations and their distance from Belle Air Mansion: Nashville Airport (4 mi), Opryland Hotel (3.6 mi), Oprymills Mall (3 mi), Music City Center (5.5 mi), Bridgestone Arena (5.7 mi), Ryman Auditorium (6.0 mi) and 6 miles to The Hermitage. There are Restaurants within a couple of blocks of the Mansion, but most restaurants and activities will require driving or riding to. We can email you a pdf document with activity, venue and restaurant information. Some of these will have the distance from the Mansion.Do you have a shuttle service?Belle Air Mansion does not operate a shuttle. For rides anywhere in Nashville, Uber & Lyft are available at the Mansion. You can contact Matchless Transportation at (615) 620-5466 or Metro Livery at (615) 365-3434 for limousine or shuttle services.Is there enough parking?Currently, there are over 50 parking spaces on site. With only 15 bedrooms, this will never be an issue.Are pets allowed?There are 2 rooms designated for pets in the “Retreat House” which is next to the Mansion. The designated rooms are the Captain’s Room and the Paris Blue Room. We are not able to accommodate guest’s pets in any of the Mansion rooms or Mansion common areas. Pets are not allowed in the Mansion. If you bring a pet into a room not designated for pets you may be asked to board your pet somewhere or leave the premises. There may also be a minimum 100 charge for an unauthorized pet. Is there a wheelchair accessible room?Yes, our wheelchair accessible room is the Castle Room. There is also a wheelchair ramp to enter the mansion on the west side of the mansion. The Carriage House 1 room is also wheelchair accessible. What if I arrive after check-in hours?We will email and text you automated check-in instructions. The instructions will give you directions and the 4 digit code to your room. Each room has a touchscreen deadbolt lock.What if I need something? What if there is an urgent issue?An Innkeeper is generally on-site all day. If you need anything or there is an issue it is best to call 615-880-6889 for prompt service. Once contacted, we can get you more towels, toiletries, help with luggage, and respond to issues. Which bedrooms are on the first floor?The following rooms are on the first floor in the Retreat House: 1) Tiffany Rose, 2) Captains, 3) Castle, 4) Ruby, 5) Paris Blue. The following rooms are on the first floor at the Mansion: 1) Gold Suite, 2) Garnett, 3) Carriage House 1, 4) Carriage House 2, 5) 1790 Hideaway. 10 of the 15 bedrooms are on the first floor. Each of these rooms, except the Garnett, have their own private entrance to the outside without going through any common areas. Is there is a discount for group bookings or booking the entire house?Please call for group rates of 8 rooms or more. Call for wedding rates and information. Call for business retreat rates and information.What is the Retreat House?This is a separate House across the driveway from the Mansion. There are 5 bedrooms and no common areas in the Retreat House. Each bedroom has its own private entrance. All of the rooms are set up so that you can pull your car within a few feet of the room’s private door to make it easy to unload & load your luggage.Can I check-in early?Only with permission. If you arrive early we can possibly lock your bags in a room, but only if pre-arranged.Are the bedrooms private?All of the bedrooms are extremely private. Each bedroom has a private bathroom. 14 of the 15 bedrooms have an ensuite bath. 11 of the 15 bedrooms have their own private entrance directly from the outside. That way you do not walk through the common areas unless you choose to.Does each room have it’s own bathroom?Yes, each room has its own bathroom. No bathrooms are shared. 14 of 15 bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom. Only the Sapphire bedroom has a private bath that is not directly connected to the room but is across the hall. Every bathroom has a luxury shower. 6 of the bathrooms have separate bathtubs.Where do I get ice?There are 2 large refrigerators in the kitchen. Each fridge has a dual ice maker.What is provided in my room?Each room is unique & individually decorated. Each room has a 50” to 60” Television, small refrigerator, outlet with charging station, iron, ironing board, coffee maker with coffee, hairdryer, individually wrapped soap, shampoo, toilet paper, makeup wipes, plenty of bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths.What is there to do in Nashville and Donelson?We can email you a pdf document with activity, venue and restaurant information after you have secured a reservation. This “Room Booklet” is done electronically for convenience and health reasons.Are children allowed?For the Mansion rooms, we allow children 12 and older that are well supervised. For the Retreat House rooms, we allow children 9 and older that are closely supervised.BreakfastEach morning our guests are served a homemade Southern breakfast on fine china, typically between 8:30 & 9am. Our breakfast is included with all room reservations and served on the outdoor veranda or in one of our beautiful dining rooms. The freshly made full breakfast may include one of the following options: Avocado on whole grain toast with eggs and bacon. Whole Cranberry sausage sweet cornbread casserole, Hash brown cheesy casserole, Breakfast Soufflés, Breakfast Quiche, or French Toast casserole. Each breakfast includes fresh fruit, biscuits or fresh danish, orange juice, coffee and tea. Our staff will accommodate most dietary restrictions when notified 24 hours in advance.What do the rooms cost?Click “Book a Room”, put in the dates of your trip, and click “Show Prices”. The prices shown are for the entire trip. To get the price per night, you divide the total price shown by the number of nights you are staying.Is there outdoor seating?The front porch is very large and has rocking chairs for your convenience. The side porch near the kitchen has rocking chairs and other seating.Is there an elevator?There is no elevator and the only access to the second floor is by using the stairs.What if I need something? Once contacted, we can get you more towels, toiletries, help with luggage, and respond to issues.How do I know which room to pick?There are 6 Mansion rooms that are more than 550 square feet. The typical very spacious and luxurious Mansion room has 13-foot ceilings, beautiful architecture, 200-year-old floors, a fireplace, at least one chandelier, amazing trim, and décor. These are the higher-priced rooms because of how luxurious they are. This would include the Gold Suite, Bronze Tranquility, Turquoise, Onyx, Sapphire, and 1790 Loft Suite. The 2 Carriage House Rooms, Garnett Room, and 1790 Hideaway rooms are moderately priced. The Retreat House rooms are priced less than the Mansion rooms and are more budget-friendly. A description of each room is below.Mansion RoomsGold Suite: This is the largest of all the rooms at 900 square feet and is on the first floor. With King bed and a daybed it sleeps 3. It includes a spacious living / sitting room that seats 12. This first floor room has 2 fireplaces. The very large ensuite bathroom has a separate marble shower and heavy clawfoot tub. There is a stunning stain glass window above the tub.Bronze Tranquility: Also called the Honeymoon Suite sleeps 2. The room and ensuite bathroom together are 740 square feet and has 5 chandeliers. This second floor bedroom has a large poster King bed, 12 ft ceilings and built ins. The massive bathroom is 28 ft long, includes a separate makeup room, 2 huge vanities, jetted tub, and a separate shower.Turquoise: This very popular second floor room and ensuite bathroom is over 600 sq ft and sleeps 2. Sleep in a large king poster bed which faces a huge fireplace. The wonderful marble bathroom has a separate marble shower and relaxing soaking tub.Onyx: This well appointed room and ensuite bath is almost 600 sq ft. There is a king bed, daybed and classic desk. Enjoy the sitting area in front of the fireplace. The bath has a double vanity and large marble shower.Sapphire: This gorgeous room and bath is around 500 sq ft. There is a king bed & daybed. The beautiful marble private bathroom with huge shower is across the hall from the bedroom. The bathroom is only for the Sapphire bathroom but is not ensuite.1790 Loft: This rustic 2 bedroom suite and ensuite bath is around 700 sq ft. One bedroom has a king bed and the other a queen bed. This handsome suite sleeps 4. These bedrooms originally built in 1790 have 230 year old beams in all the ceilings. The bathroom has a double vanity with stone sinks and a large shower.Carriage House 1: With nearly 400 sq ft, this comfortable room sleeps 3. It has a king bed and twin bed. This exquisite room has a desk and a nook with seating around a small table. Move aside the large sliding barn door to enter into an oversized bathroom.Carriage House 2: This charming room has almost 300 sq ft, a king bed, a desk and a nook with seating around a small table.Garnett: This delightful first floor room has a king bed and is wonderfully decorated. Our most popular shower is in this bathroom.1790 Hideaway: Originally built in 1790, imagine sleeping in this beautiful and rustic 230 year old room. This first floor room sleeps 2 in a king bed and will take you back 230 years.Retreat House RoomsTiffany Rose: This very large, charming and colorful bedroom has a king bed and a daybed and sleeps 3. The luxury bathroom has a large glassed in shower and separate tub with two vanities.Ruby: This romantic bedroom has a king bed and a daybed and sleeps 3. The bathroom has a clawfoot tub and large separate shower.Paris Blue: Experience springtime in Paris in this beautiful room. It has a king bed and ensuite bath with glassed shower and separate shower. Sleeps 2.Castle: This cozy first floor bedroom has a queen bed is wheelchair friendly with a ramp to the room. The large wheelchair accessible bathroom has a double vanity and large glassed shower. Sleeps 2.Captains: This maritime decorated bedroom has a queen bed and nice shower. Sleeps 2. Policies CANCELLATIONS For individual rooms: If booked directly, and a guest cancels 4 days prior to arrival they receive a 100% refund less a $25 cancellation fee. If they cancel 3 days or sooner there is no refund. There are exceptions, such as a medical facility or doctor’s statement showing a positive result for a COVID test. Any reservation made on a third party site or OTA (eg Booking.com, Expedia, TripAdvisor, etc.) is subject to the terms and conditions of cancellation policies on that site. There is a $25 cancellation fee for all full refund cancellations starting 2/1/22. For groups and business retreats: “Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they’ve paid. If they cancel between 30 and 60 days before check-in, they’ll get back 50% of the total booking amount. Otherwise, they won’t get a refund.” For Weddings: “Deposits are not refundable”. We strongly recommend that our guests purchase trip cancellation insurance to protect against a change of plans caused by Acts of God or other potentially unforeseen or unexpected circumstances For individual rooms, our policy moving forward is: If the guest cancels 4 days prior to arrival they receive a 100% refund less the $25 cancellation fee. If they cancel 3 days or sooner there is no refund. There are exceptions, such as a doctor’s statement showing a positive result for a COVID test. DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS A 50 percent deposit is collected at the time of booking your reservation. The remaining balance is due at check-in. Payment for gift certificates and retail items is collected at time of purchase. CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT Check In: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Check-out: by 11:00 a.m. If arriving at the inn outside of check-in times, please call in advance to make arrangements. GIFT CERTIFICATES If you plan to use a Belle Air Mansion gift certificate or a Select Registry gift card for your payment, please call 615-880-6889 to make your reservation. Gift certificates and gift cards cannot be processed online. SMOKING Belle Air Mansion is a smoke-free establishment. In accordance with state fire law, there is no smoking or vaping allowed indoors, and the use of candles is not permitted. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Please smoke outside away from the house, doorways, or open windows and please pick up any remnants. We reserve the right to charge the credit card on file a minimum $300 fee to cover the cost of deep cleaning and/or replacing upholstered furniture, window treatments, rugs and bedding if it is determined that a guest has violated the Inn’s policy and smoked in any location inside the Inn. FOOD AND DRINK Guests are not allowed to eat and drink in the common areas of the mansion except for the two dining rooms, the kitchen, or the business training center. Please no food or drink in all other indoor common areas. Please no red wine in the bedrooms or in any common areas. STAIRS Part of Belle Air Mansion is 231 years old while the rest of the house is 190 years old. Both areas are two stories. 10 of our 15 bedrooms are on the first floor. There is a ramp on the west side of the Mansion to enter the first floor without stairs. Belle Air Mansion does not feature an elevator. Guests staying on the second floor of the Mansion climb a flight of stairs to reach their suite. CHILDREN Belle Air Mansion is a quiet and romantic getaway for many of our guests. Therefore, it is not appropriate for children under the age of 12 to stay in the Mansion. There is a separate “Retreat House” that has 5 bedrooms. Children 8 and older can stay in the Retreat House. We just ask that if you bring children into the historic Mansion they are supervised at all times. PETS We are not able to accommodate guest pets in any of the Mansion rooms. There are 2 rooms designated for pets in the “Retreat House” which is next to the Mansion. The designated rooms are the Captain’s Room and the Paris Blue Room. Pets are never allowed in the Mansion. BREAKFAST A delicious gourmet breakfast is served between 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. each day at the inn’s first floor dining room by the kitchen. DIETARY REQUESTS Belle Air Mansion can accommodate most dietary needs. To share your food preferences, please leave a note in the dietary restrictions section of your online reservation or send an email to us any time before your arrival. We must know of any dietary restrictions at least 48 hours in advance. We have gluten free options, but we do not have a completely gluten free kitchen. BACHELOR / BACHELORETTE PARTIES Bachelor or Bachelorette parties are not allowed at Belle Air Mansion PARKING There are 50 parking spaces at the Mansion for 15 bedrooms. Parking is first come, first served. Please contact us at 615-880-6889 if special parking arrangements are needed or for extra large vehicles. FORGOTTEN ITEMSWe are not responsible for items left behind. If we find Items left behind they can be sent to you via mail at your request. The cost of shipping plus a $10 handling charge will be billed to your credit card. PREVAILING LODGING TAX All reservations and add-ons are subject to the State of Tennessee’s prevailing sales tax plus Davidson County’s Hotel Tax requirements. Current rates are 15.25% for lodging, prepared food, and any other charges. LEGAL NOTICEThis is private property and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. We are not responsible for accidents or injury, damages to personal property or vehicles or for the loss of money or valuables of any kind.
