Cancellations
If the booking is canceled before 11:30 PM, 4 day(s) prior to check-in the refund is 100% of what was paid less a $35 cancellation fee per room; less than 4 days before check-in the charge is 100% of total. This is enforced. If you are concerned about the possibility of needing to cancel for ANY reason, we request that you invest in private vacation insurance. A great resource to explore these options is travelinsurance.com or talk to your insurance agent. To cancel send an email to belleairnashville@gmail.com. For groups of 10 rooms or more see our website.
- For individual rooms, our policy moving forward is: If the guest has a refundable rate and cancels 4 days prior to arrival they receive a 100% refund less the $35 cancellation fee. If they cancel 3 days or sooner there is no refund.
- For groups of 10 to 16 rooms, the policy is: If the booking is cancelled before 11:30 PM, 30 days prior to check-in, it is free of charge; Less than 30 days before check-in the charge is 100% of the total.
- For group buyouts and business retreats: “Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they’ve paid. If they cancel between 30 and 60 days before check-in, they’ll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won’t get a refund.”
- For Weddings: “Deposits are not refundable”.
Deposits & Payments
A 50 percent payment is collected at the time of booking your reservation. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to your card 24 to 48 hrs prior to check in. Any other payment type is due no later than check-in. Payment for gift certificates and retail items is collected at time of purchase.
Check-in/Check Out
Check In: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Check-out: by 11:00 a.m.
If arriving at the inn outside of check-in times, please call in advance to make arrangements.
Gift Certificates
If you plan to use a Belle Air Mansion gift certificate or a Select Registry gift card for your payment, please call 615-880-6889 to make your reservation. Gift certificates and gift cards cannot be processed online.
Smoking
Belle Air Mansion is a smoke-free establishment. In accordance with state fire law, there is no smoking or vaping allowed indoors, and the use of candles is not permitted. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Please smoke outside away from the house, doorways, or open windows and please pick up any remnants. We reserve the right to charge the credit card on file a minimum $300 fee to cover the cost of deep cleaning and/or replacing upholstered furniture, window treatments, rugs and bedding if it is determined that a guest has violated the Inn’s policy and smoked in any location inside the Inn.
Food And Drink
Guests are not allowed to eat and drink in the common areas of the mansion except for the two dining rooms, the kitchen, or the business training center. Please no food or drink in all other indoor common areas. Please no red wine in the bedrooms or in any common areas.
Breakfast
A delicious gourmet breakfast is served between 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. each day at the inn’s first floor dining room by the kitchen.
Stairs
Part of Belle Air Mansion is 231 years old while the rest of the house is 190 years old. Both areas are two stories. 10 of our 16 bedrooms are on the first floor. There is a ramp on the west side of the Mansion to enter the first floor without stairs. Belle Air Mansion does not feature an elevator. Guests staying on the second floor of the Mansion climb a flight of stairs to reach their suite.
Children
Belle Air Mansion is a quiet and romantic getaway for many of our guests. Therefore, it is not appropriate for children under the age of 10 to stay in the Mansion. There is a separate “Retreat House” that has 5 bedrooms. Children 8 and older can stay in the Retreat House. We just ask that if you bring children into the historic Mansion they are supervised at all times.
Pets
We are not able to accommodate guest pets in any of the Mansion rooms. There are 2 rooms designated for pets in the “Retreat House” which is next to the Mansion. The designated rooms are the Captain’s Room and the Paris Blue Room. Pets are never allowed in the Mansion.
Dietary Requests
Belle Air Mansion can accommodate most dietary needs. To share your food preferences, please leave a note in the dietary restrictions section of your online reservation or send an email to us any time before your arrival. We must know of any dietary restrictions at least 48 hours in advance. We have gluten free options, but we do not have a completely gluten free kitchen.
Bachelor / Bachelorette Parties
Bachelor or Bachelorette parties are not allowed at Belle Air Mansion.
Parking
There are 50 parking spaces at the Mansion for 16 bedrooms. Parking is first come, first served. Please contact us at 615-880-6889 if special parking arrangements are needed or for extra large vehicles.
Forgotten Items
We are not responsible for items left behind. If we find Items left behind they can be sent to you via mail at your request. The cost of shipping plus a $15 handling charge will be billed to your credit card.
Prevailing Lodging Tax
All reservations and add-ons are subject to the State of Tennessee’s prevailing sales tax plus Davidson County’s Hotel Tax requirements. Current rates are 15.25% for lodging, prepared food, and any other charges.
Legal Notice
This is private property and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. We are not responsible for accidents or injury, damages to personal property or vehicles or for the loss of money or valuables of any kind.

Belle Air Mansion is not to be missed, a beautiful, relaxing place, one of the best B&Bs ever!
It was clear there was very thoughtful attention to considering the needs of the group. Then, the mansion and grounds were simply amazing. The best of a well-appointed bed and breakfast (combined with a time-travel machine) that takes you back to the best of an 1880s Greek Revival antebellum mansion. Would love to have the opportunity to visit again!
